are there laws to prohibite from reloading in urban areas?

There might be limits placed on the weight of propellants you can have on hand, and there might be requirements for the type of cabinet it can be stored in. Every urban center across the country is likely to be a little different, but I've never heard of a bi-law that directly prohibits individuals from handloading ammunition for small arms within city limits.

NRCan tried to write new 'safety' regulations on this topic 5-6-8 yrs ago. The NFA and the collective wisdom absolutely savaged the feds on just about every statement they made. Everything from safe distances to fireballs and labelling. The idea collapsed.
The only regulations I know of are the NRCan explosives regs. Quantities, storage and labelling. Containers have to be a certain description and not to exceed a certain weight. Then you need a powder magazine licence and inspections and insurance etc etc. For the ordinary handloader, pffft. Leave sleeping dogs lie.

Yes in maple ridge or port moody or surrey (1 of them does) it was to stop gang bangers so they made it illegal to sell a gun in city limits and reload in your home.. so selling a gun in city limits also stops legal gun owners.... ah the stupidity...

I know they did some messed up firearms laws.. like 1 was you cant sell firearms in city limits so legally they want you to drive out of the city to sell a gun.. they won't let you reload in your home because thats how gang bangers get ammo.. (that was pushed by the police force) They passed a bylaw that says you can't reload, buy or sell firearms in city limits. I know people that were very angry about it because they were a duck hunter and now cant reload shotgun shells in there own home.. at least legally.. the police simply said they arnt targeting legal owners just illegal ones. I can't remember what city it was..
