Scout scope for Ruger Scout?

The people importing the Ruger Scout rifle seem to have a blind spot when it comes to having appropriate scopes [IER, LER] for the Scout rifle. In some cases, it took a lot of careful explaining to convince them there was such a thing as A] a Ruger scout rifle; B] a scope with a 9-12" eye relief and C] that major manufacturers like Weaver and Leupold actually make them.

So--- does anybody out there know where I can pick one up? Emphasis on the 'know'...I can find numbers to cold-call scope dealers. I'm just hoping for a specific tip. I have a line on a used Leupold, but I'd prefer to buy new for the sake of warranty coverage... Thanks!
 
Where have you tried and where have you not ? Seems a lot of companies can order new Leupolds quite fast from Korth (near Calgary). In fact, I recall talking to one of the gents from Korth and he said they can ship to dealers quite quickly once an order is placed (this was for a rather specific scope).

I tried everyplace in Calgary...the place I mentioned in my original post was the WSS in Deerfoot Meadows...

Anyway, the used Leupold scope I looked at came at a pretty good price...cheaper than new with QD mounts included...I saved about $90 on the deal over new, so I'm okay with it. Gonna go shooting tomorrow...:D
 
Cabelas Canada is listing the Weaver K series Scout scope in their new fall catalogue, which at least implies that they will be stocking them in Canada.
