AS good as Krieger barrels are, it doesn't bode well for how they treat some of their dealers. The Krieger barrels I have purchased are excellent but I was not particularly impressed with their deliveries to this part of the country. Prices were fair but 16 weeks for them to ship a common spec 30 cal barrel left me bewildered.
I only hope a dealer from Alberta will step up to the plate so that customers from HST provinces don't have to get screwed by that bloody tax.

One of Canada's most repsected precision gunsmiths has gotten to the point of not accepting the very popular US button rifled barrels that have recently gained commercial success here because of the inferior tolerances and run-out. I have seen this for myself in the lathe.
I'll chime in since "button rifled" barrels have had some dirt thrown on them again.
having had the pleasure of shooting a wide range of product from barrels makers from Can and the US, you quickly find that top brand barrels got that way because they shoot well.
I am happy to see shooters who are passionate enough about the products they use to use "BEST" to describe their performance. But there are so many other winning combos that best is a moving target.
Matches been won and records have been set by both rifling styles and a variety of barrel makers (not to mention all the other components used) so I am always leery to put BEST on anything.
Competitive, yes and an accurate description of the many products used by accuracy minded shooters today.
All barrel makers have made hummers and duds so no brand is infallible. I prefer not to get into a mud slinging debate about the duds of any brand. They happen and it is the support to correct the issue that is most important to me. Top brands typically offer support to back up their brand - that makes them winners already.
If there was only one winning brand, all the others would quickly cease to exist or up their game to be "competitive".
There seems to be no shortage of quality companies and they all seem to be very busy satisfying their customers.
I will be investigating supplying Krieger barrels too as a western Can dealer is not a bad thing.
I have used this brand and it has worked very well for me. But so have so many other brands.
Shooters have preferences and being able to meet those needs is good for us all.
