Im looking for a trigger below 1.5# with a safety and bolt stop for my rem700. I found that Rifle Basix triggers have 2 models that might do nicely. ERV-3K (4oz-1 1/4#), and LV1K (8oz- 1.5#). Anyone have one and would care to comment? Are these any good? A light trigger isn't everything in my books, It must be creep-free. A need a trigger that breaks like glass. Too bad I cant afford a Jewell.

I have a jewell and have shot the rifle basix on a PGW coyote. The rifle basix is an awsome trigger, very clean. I will be buying one for my next project.

I got a few Rifle Basix triggers. Save your money and buy the Jewel. The RBs aren't even close to being in the same league.

thats good to know, you usually get what you pay for with most stuff, but every once in awhile you get a suprise.
 
I shot a custom rifle for Aberta Tactical Rifle equipped with a Jewell trigger and it was impossible to flinch on that rifle (a 14-15lbs 308 Win).
After this experience, I ordered a Jewell trigger last week and can't wait to install it on my true 1/2 MOA Remington 700 rifle to see if it makes a difference!
I've been told many stories about Jewell but all the top custom jobs that I've seen recently have one and most if not all Sturgeon rifles are equipped with the trigger.

I can't afford a better rifle or a better scope but I can afford the best trigger,

Normally flinching is cause by anticipating that the shot will be fired and then jerking the trigger.
With a great trigger it's impossible to anticipate anything: it just shoots!
One second your pulling the trigger, the other, the shot is fired.

This means that you shot exactly where you aimed and that they is no error caused by last minute movement.
