I like, I like! but do I buy?

Seems to me the best 14" gun I can find and wouldnt mind walking around with. Cutting down an 870 to that length makes it prohib (thanks) and I dont really want a norinco 6 incher or anything crazy like that.

Anyone have one of these, are they decent?

I have two Fabarm Martial Pro Force 14" shotguns, and I love them. Coolest shotgun I've ever fired.
Unfortunately, they've been discontinued for some reason.
Haven't decided for for sure what I'll be doing yet, but might get rid of the one...

Interesting. I knew the importer changed a while ago and the guns are still listed on the fabarms site. Can you guys cite a source I'm curious.

Now I'm not sure if I wanna buy a discontinued gun for which parts etc are already hard to get.... Hmm.

I have the sdass and love it.
The fit an finish is superb!!!! Only thing to watch out for is the lack of accessories. You basically cannot customize it like an 870.
If you buy the 870 theres 14 inch barrels sold thatv you can buy and keep the gun away from prohib status

IMO they need a short police style forend, other than that they're very nice.
The Fabarm is the first pump gun I've ever owned and I actually didn't like the long fore-end at all. Thought the short ones would look way better, but now that I've played around with it a bit, I really like it.
With the pro forces stock and long fore-end, I can shoulder the gun much faster and easier without the stock getting hung up in my armpit because I'm able to grip the fore-end so close.
I've since acquired a Winchester SXP defender and I can not seem to shoulder that thing in a hurry without it hanging up in my armpit, and once it's shouldered it seems uncomfortable compared to the Fabarm. I feel too stretched out (and I have ridiculously long arms.)
I really like having the option of gripping the fore-end in close.

how would you guys rate a fabarm martial vs an 870 wingmaster or mossberg 590? I would expect nicer finish vs an 870 for the extra $$$. Im hunting for a KISS tac shotty but I have a serious problem with the 870, mainly the slide release location

I've had my Fabarm Martial Pro Forces 14" since 2006. A lot of guns have come and gone since then, but my Fabarm has never been even considered to be put up for sale.

LOVE IT.

nice pics Nine, soooo nice. It looks like I cant get a proforces and dont really want the GSR, rail or pistol grip anyway. Only ####ty thing is the normal models arent threaded for chokes! sigh.....I guess its too much to ask for a 14" gun to have chokes....

.
I had one long ago, and in a fit of madness sold it, but now I have one again.
I don't want or need a camp/home defense shotgun to have all kinds of doo-dads hangning off it. Keep things simple as possible is my preference. The only addition to mine is an aimpoint red dot sight, which makes it easier to shoot with both eyes open.

Some versions of the newer Fabs seem to come with a heat shield, which is not really needed for the majority of us, but a little bit of extra weight doesn't hurt. Its a really light shotgun.
Easy enough to remove though.

By the way, notice the external choke tube installed.

Good point, I still think someone should manufacture one so there are options. :)
