My Sabre Defence M4 is done.

I've owned more than a few LMTs and some other high end ARs (all have functioned perfectly) and am wondering exactly how the Sabres function better?

Fit and finish is why I say SD rifles are better than LMT's. Not saying LMT's are crap, they are great rifles, IMO I think Sabre produces a superior product when it comes to overall fit and finish. I have owned both before so that is where I base my opinion on.

You said function AND fit and finish. So you are actually saying just fit and finish, yes?

You do know that "fit and finish" have absolutely nothing to do with the quality and reliability of an AR-15? Most of the time it's quite the opposite.

Well, I'll fill in the "functionality" for him than. SDI rifles are some of the best make ARs. I own a XR15 subcarbine that functions immaculately. Haven't encountered any problems (yet) with it after years of use and it's quite accurate at medium to long range while fired unsupported (despite the short length barrel). High quality bore/barrel!

Sabre Defence, like LMT, also contributes M16s to the US military. However, SDI has held a contract for supplying machine gun barrels (namely for the .50 BMG) well before LMT acquired their contract with the US government, because their corporate specialty is in developing firearm barrels.

Anyway, this is really just a "take your pick" kind of situation. I prefer my SDI (having owned an LMT). No doubt, there are those who've owned an SDI but prefer LMT. Whatever shakes your marbles.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly.

Where abouts did you grab the YHM flash hider? I did some digging looking for one when I built my AR but couldn't find a place to order one.

Flash Hider came from Wolverine Supplies.

As to all the debate over which is better, its all apples to apples. We all love our AR's and are very brand loyal. This is just my take on what works for me and my impressions. Not my intention to start a war over which AR is better. All mentioned in this post are all top notch. This just hapens to be my favorite AR.

Thanks for all the comments guys, appriecate hearing what you all have to say. Just want to keep it friendly!
