Anybody bought a non-refurb SKS from marstar?

The math is quite easy. Buy an unfired, unissued Chinese SKS for less than 200 bucks. Buy an unfired, unissued Russian SKS for ??


Perhaps you're right. Its more than 50% cheaper.
 
My '54 Tula from SFRC is arsenal refurb but darned if I can find any evidence it was ever fired other then test-fired! The Russian birch is lovely & rock-hard. $299. including 800rnds doesn't add up to 50% more expensive.

Really hard to say no to that deal. I ordered mine on fathers day. Had it 5 days later with the ammo. 51 Tula with all the trimmings.

If there is an accuracy differance between my Chi-com SKS and my Tula, I can't tell with open sights......

What was the shipping rate if you dont mind sharing?
 
I just recieved 2 sks from Westrifle .com 6 days from B.C to N.S,thats great and shipping for both together was less than $45.. Pics and info to follow shortly, I am working with one hand in a cast for a couple weeks! Have to get the young fella to help unwrap the goodies!:canadaFlag::cheers::rockOn:
 
So westrifle's shipping is quite a bit cheaper! I got 2 shipped for $44. and change! They were sks's ,I am not sure if Mosin's would be more or not but I don't think so.

Laminate stocks as well. I picked up a 51' and from what I've examined does not seem to be re-manufactured model. Bore looks crisp and no signs of firing from the looks of it. The cosmoline didn't stand a chance against boiling water, haha.

Yup. I'd like to acquire a nice Chinese one as well, eventually.
