I'm sure there's plenty of BRRC members here. I'm thinking of buying matching scopes for my Rifle Night target rifles. I've got plenty of hunting rifles so these two are really used for nothing but rifle night.

For those of you who aren't familiar with this weekly league shoot, we shoot a series of targets with rim fire and centre fire rifles off hand at 50 and 25 yards. The challenge is really at 25 yards which is too close for most hunting or target scopes.

- target turrets are a plus because for centre fire zero'd at 50 yards the point of impact needs to be raised exactly 1 minute of angle for 25 yards.
- clarity and precision are needed since the X is still only the size of a dime and the light isn't all that good.
- smaller is better for me since my centre fire is a CZ carbine which would look kind of silly with a long scope on it.

Can anyone suggest something that won't break the bank?

Look for a used 6.5-20x EFR Leupold. Even if it hasn't got turrets (unlikely) or the right reticle, that's an easy fix with a call to Korth. I used the same scope with a target dot for shooting Rimfire Metallic Silhouette and used it indoors for practice at 15m. The EFR worked like a charm.

Good call on the EFR. Had one on one of my 22s and you could focus VERY close. Might be a bit bigger than the OP wanted but a great optic for this application
