Adams Lake riffle barrels: take care

Another thing, it is not getting any easier to get barrels, gunparts, reloading components etc. from the USA,

That's not even the point...
The import, I would say, is the shortest part of the process. Krieger, and Ian for this matter, are victims of their own success. I have never dealt with Adams Lake, but I understand fully that complaining about Ian (albeit the repeated lack of communication threads) is only "shooting the messenger" because the months of waiting are caused by the manufacturer.

If you want a Krieger, prepare to wait. Don't want to wait? You're probably not ready for a Krieger anyway... That's what I did, I'm an impatient noob, Shilen suffised.

I think we are on the same page..point being, certain items, regardless of who you deal with, takes more time than some people are willing to wait.

This is news...

There have been posts about difficulties in getting in touch with Ian at Adams Lake Rifle Barrels in other threads. But M14Doctor recently received a long awaited barrel and has posted that Ian is dealing with some more pressing concerns.

I don't know how long your friends have been waiting and its tough to wait if you already paid, but like others have said - Ian has a good reputation.

It is well known in the main battle rifle forum that I did speak on Ian's behalf a number of times during his being AWOL.
I have watched these threads and have not said much. My experiences with Ian since early spring have not been "great" but I am able to put it into perspective. It's tough being a one man show and balancing family/work ect. I believe Ian needs to either team up with someone or get a helper, not leave the business.
I have had my own issues with Ian and won't post those here. But the OP is not alone in his experience so don't be too hard on him. I've a GREAT many emails from Ian's garand and M14 barrel clients over the past few months when they were getting no response. This wasn't something I was all to pleased about BUT , I know Ian's reputation, am aware of some of his personal issues and ... Well... Without folks cuttin the good guys, who bend over backwards most days for their clients, some slack and benefit of the doubt, there won't be any sources for cool stuff like Krieger barrels.

.....But the OP is not alone in his experience so don't be too hard on him.....

The OP had no experience with Ian's business. He reported a couple of friends were waiting for barrels. Its bad enough when individuals hide behind the 'net to make anonymous complaints. Its worse when someone who has no involvement does.

I may have misread. Doesn't really change my comments though.

ok guys, seems like you think i'm a stupid young guys who don't know about delivery delays ! This is not the case. I don't think it's worth to keep explaining the situation. Just tried to help by letting you know the situation.

BTW, i'm shooting a Barnard P on top of a Robertson Composite GBF stock c/w Krieger barrel, so believe me, i know things take time.

How do you guys explain this. Riffle barrels got 30cal barrels stock as per their internet site, my friend as for one of those, telling himself that atleast, he get something out of is money......never called back

Adams Lake ROCKS!!

WOW... Spell check and proof reading are both your friends...

Ian has always done right by me.

Ive ordered and received several barrels from him with absolutely ZERO problems.

I have 3 barrels still in the pipe from Ian/Kreiger and have ZERO concerns that they will arrive in a timely fashion.

Thanks for all your help over the years Ian!!

i agree that it can be really hard on family when your deeply involved in a company. But i'm still convinced that if you got personnal issue or health problem, an honest explanation is all thats required to a decent man. Knowing that the guy is having a hard time, anyone can understand that, just explain it (not in detail of course, none of our business).

No, i'm not directly involve in the problem but i'm aware of the consequences of the word i'm saying here to Riffle Barrel, so if it was not serious, i would NEVER attempt a person reputation.

Seriously buddy, there is only one F in rifle.

Dealt with Ian a few times, I consider him a friend even though we have never met. No one wants delays, but that's life, if you don't want delays don't get into the shooting sports. Or stick with factory...

Seriously, dont you have some better comments ? Seems like it's very common on that forum. Nothing objective, only bull#### about a newby that is mother language is not english !

I just cant believe that i've tried to protect you guys ! If i only knew before !

thanks mighty, now that i'm aware i'll just continue to read as there is awsome knowledge around here......sadelly not in this post !

Yup, best thing to do is just move on. I HEAR the meassage you are trying to get across. You and your friends are not alone in this but yer beating a dead horse here on CGN. Like all the folks who stood up for me when some of my dealings got aired out in the "where's m14doctor" threads of a while back, things are not always as they seem and I made it clear that those "defending me" at all costs... Should not as I did deserve the public roasting. It caused me to work harder to step it up a notch.
Anyhow, probably just better to move along at this point. ;)

this.....

"hi my names so and so, me and my friends ordered barrel from company X, it seems to have been a long time and we arnt hearing back from him, does any one know whats goin on?"

would have been a much better post. coming on here with "this company suck" when its about Some one who has done alot of good for lots of people here and the shooting comunity wont win you any friends
