First I'm wondering if anyone has a picture of the Talley peep mounted on a rifle. That seems to be a pretty elusive commodity.

Second, how far ahead of the fore end should a barrel band/barrel mount sling stud be?

Thanks a bunch.

Have you considered the Brockman pop-up peep?

I have barrel bands on my FN/375 Ruger and my Mauser/9.3X62. Both rifles have 20" barrel and both forends are 7 3/4". The bands are 9.5" and 10"respectively. All measurements are from the front of the receiver

I have considered the Brockmans but think I'll go with the talley peep. Thanks for the information and picture of the Brockmans though.

You know, for $150 that Brockman peep is a bargain. Not only does it allow the scope to be mounted low, but it is adjustable for windage and elevation.

Can you imagine going to a machine shop, and asking them to do one of them up for you?

Hey Chuck I just measured my barrel band swivel and it is set 1 3/4" ahead of the forend tip. I you send me your email I will forward you some pics of my .375 h&h to see if this look is acceptable.
