Hey guys, im looking to purchase one of these pistols. I have the cash, just no where to source one from. Ive checked all the site sponsors and havent tracked one down. I know there is a preorder through armtac, and I've got my name on the list, but I would like one now!

So anyone know where i can get one in canada?

Anyone have one to sell me?

Please PM me if you know where to get one.

Thanks,
Adam

Its a P7 with the heel mag release. The P7M8 has an ambi release near the trigger guard.

I know this doesn't apply here but the heel release was chosen for the PSP because having the release on the side could result in a loose magazine when the gun was carried in a pocket ... and that was the gun's original purpose.

For what it's worth, I used to have one of the original P7s with the heel release, and now I own a P7M8. I much prefer the heel release.

Can you elaborate a bit on this? I havent shot either so i dont know, but i was going to use this gun for IDPA.

I did a write-up on here recently comparing the two, but I don't think I mentioned this factor in the comparison.

Heel release is not nearly as bad as you might expect, however, the fact remains that - to get the mag out of the gun you have to use two hands. Only at that point can the weak hand go for the spare mag.

With the P7M8 style ambi release, as soon as the slide locks back on the last shot the weak hand can go for the spare mag, and the strong hand can drop the mag on its own, making the gun ready to accept the loaded mag.

This is all in theory, of course. In reality it likely makes little to know difference, including in timed events... but it theory having to use both hands to get the mag out should be slower.

I always thought heel mag release was a Euro thing: P38, P9S, original SIG 220, PSP, etc. But then I got a Luger... it looks and feels more like a 1911 mag release.

Everything P7 is getting harder and harder to find. The best advice is just keep searching the EE and elsewhere -keep your cash ready - and when the right gun comes up... pounce! Don't settle for what you don't really want by telling yourself you need it now. You'll just end up selling that gun later.

1. Draw mag first then swap loaded for full. Not as fast as the M8 but much faster than the "ditch the empty then draw the loaded magazine" method. I'm not the fastest, but I remain comptetive in IDPA, and I've done a couple of FAST drills in under 8 seconds;

2. Absolutely agree, be ready to pounce on what you want and don't "buy just to buy".

FWIW, the P7's coming in from Armtac are PSP's so they have the European mag release (which I prefer anyway)...

I read your writeup on them, thats what got me looking. The only gun ive ever had with a heel release was a ruger mark 2. It was my first gun and i didnt like .22 so i got rid of it. I also only had one mag fo rit, so i wasnt doing mag changes.

I've never shot in competition, and my preference for the heel release has to do with a nagging concern about unintentional magazine release with buttons and levers. I have had it happen, although not with a P7. I think the buttons and levers are certainly faster than the heel release. "Fast" was just never really a concern for me.

Bumping this thread as I missed the last shipment from armtac due to finances, I've got my name in for the next one but still always looking for more, just can't have enough H&K.

Finally have a secure job so I'm looking to snap up anything that's out there.

Also not looking for the psp, just the m8, m10, and m13.

Thanks guys

I tried to sell my M13 with 3 mags for $1300 shipped. Too many lowballers as usual so I pulled the ad. They are drying up and the prices will only go up.

Still searching for one, I found a crazy deal on one but it turns out its registered as prohib? The gunsmith at the store that had it told me that made the P7m13 with 105mm barrel and some were made with a 106mm barrel?

Is this accurate? Would it e possible to have the prohib one re examined and then re registered as restricted?

The price was amazing and it ha only seen about 750rnds throughout its life.

Interestingly enough the store in Canada saw a wtb add I put up on firearms Canada.

Anyone else happen to see one of these pistols sitting in a lonely gun shop somewhere in Canada?

Also as a side note it makes me laugh and then wanna punch the people in the face who are emailing me through firearms Canada that are obviously a scam! They send me copy and pasted descriptions of p7s with pictures from the Internet saying they are located in the states and they will take care of all the paperwork if I wire transfer them money!

If I were you I would contact Buffalo Gun Centre!

They have a few, and even after exporting fee's will likely not be any more then finding one here.

Call them up, and tell them you are Canadian looking to have them export one for you.

It's $100 + 5% and they do all the work. You just have to register it here with the serial number they will provide, and then get a temp ATT to pick it up.

There's recently been two M13's for sale on the EE and I even bought one. Why aren't you buying these?
