I recently found a shop that claims to have a few of these. Are they around? Are they common? Every one I've seen are refurbished ones. But Im told these dont have the square (with the crossed line) stamp on them. I would love to add one to the collection.

I dreaming these days about an IZZY 1953 and 1954 non-refurbish, but received yesterday a very nice non-refurbish late Tula 55/56 in laminate stock from Westrifle, and can you give some news to us about your next shipment?

Yes I need a 55/56 and an Izzy 1953 and that would do,,except one of those yugo's that launch grenades! AND maybe a Chinese one just to say I have one to compare! I have a 50 ,51,54,and a 49 on the way,,,so far! All refurb xcept the 50 I think,hard to tell!
There are some good stickies at the top of this forum by knowledgeable guys to help figure out if you have a refurb or not,,still confusing,learning curve is steep!
If anyone sees a 55 out there with the date on the cover let me know,I am looking for one with 1955 on it.
well I ordered it anyways. If its a refurb, I will have another one to play with. If it is a 'new' one it is getting hung on the wall. The guy on the phone said he really didnt know sks. its a '54 with numbers matching that he had to "clean alot of f*kn grease off of" no refurb stamps. Thats the best I could find out. oh well, I'll know in a few days...
Badger says they have both ,on sale $165.! By both I mean black bolt or silver bolt, I would assume the black bolt would come with black bayo!??

Black bolt refurbs are the worst of the worst
Not always. I had a real sweet 54 Tula black bolt that was one of the few from the first IZH-Impex import of 2008. Wish i would have kept it.
