SOOO.... put a boyds stock on my new m305, did have to do some minor adjustments to fit the trigger group in properly after it was all said and done I noticed on the right side and only the right side of the receiver there's a small gap probably under 1mm. I was just wondering if thats something I should be worried about?

Don't forget the "Popsicle stick fix". Look at the stickies.... I forgot to do mine and had problems on the range...

Wierd cuz my Boyd's walnut I just place in the Nork hardware and shot it. Then down the road I sent it of to the doc for some NM teatment were he beded it. Although the Doc's laminate stock he had to bed the entire action before he could shoot it. No were did I ever see the need for the popsicle stick although I could be mistaken since it was some time ago. I ask him to chime in if he's got some time.

I didn't think i needed it either, then i noticed my op-rod spring guide pin kept slipping out... :)

Yup, boyds stocks have a recess, similar but not the same, as a usgi stock.
Boyd's stocks also must be trued on the top to mate correctly with the chinese receiver. This top surface modification MUST be the first fitting step , and then , if needed, the stock can be adjusted for trigger lockup.
Most TYPE 1 boyds, after addressing the above, will be a loose drop in fit. Bedding is recommended. TYPE 2 boyds stocks require in depth bedding procedures for correct fit.
