I thought I'd post a little review of the Dlask AR15 Charging Handle I just bought.

As usual, the machining is perfect. I could find virtually no evidence of tool marks and there are no sharp corners on the unit.
Here's a couple pics of the latch. It's scalloped on three sides and offers a good grippy surface.

The following pics show it in comparison to the original charging handle.

Installation was perfect. It slid into the receiver smoothly and locks in nicely. Charging the rifle is with the Dlask unit is quick and easy. There's lots of real-estate to grab onto, making the motion effortless. I could detect no binding or roughness with the unit installed. It is supposed to direct gas away from the shooter as well. I've never had a problem with this, but I imagine getting filthy hot gas in your eye would not be pleasant, so I'm glad it's a feature of this unit. I should be able to test it out this weekend and run some drills.

After viewing pic #7, I totally think you coulda made it as a hand model Clobb.

Joe makes good stuff, I have purchased quite a few things from him in the past few years with no regrets.

Looks great - and well machined. Congrats. What would you say are the main advantages vs. stock t-bone? Just more robust vs. flimsy, and/or?

does it fit with say the c7a2 stupid sling loop? or would it interfere with it since it seems to extend down a bit?

You aren't the first CGN'r to comment on my pimp hands. :D

It makes it much easier to run the bolt carrier, especially with gloves. The OEM unit is pretty small. Also, it will redirect any gas that makes it by the charging handle.

I'm not sure what that sling plate looks like. But if it's just a sling plate it should work fine. If someone has a pic I might be able to tell.

Alright guys I have no issue calling this the way it is, this is nothing more than a blatant copy of the Gas Buster PRI charging handle. The US patent #6311603 is assigned to PRI, and frankly I encourage and support Canadian manufactures, but this is just wrong on every level. I know some of you will rip me a new appendage over this response, but I see nothing right about companies that do this. We all the innovations that we are capable of, I always assumed we would not encourage piracy of other people's hard work.
Alright flame away guys!

:slap::slap::slap: sometimes companies buy rights from other companies to produce their product under their own names

I,M with you on this one,I don't have enought fingers and toes to count how many times dlask has done that over the years.
Its one thing to take someones concept and improve it, but just copying it we should leave that to the Chinese.

I totally disagree. Offshore stuff tends to work, but suck quality wise. Frankly if an American company doesn't see Canada as a big enough market to export, then odds are they dont have a Canadian copyright on their goods here.So our sales are of no value to them and If someone like Dlask is willing to take the effort to bring a quality piece to market then I think we should support them as a Canadian company first.
On a side note. Dlask has hardly any AR's on their page right now, not even an AR section listed. I wonder if they're getting out of that market?

Dlasks website hasn't changed, and the AR stuff is still there where it always was. And PRI does ship to Canada with the proper permits.....get your #### straight.

The U.S and Canada have a treaty, so a Canadian company can be sued for a U.S patent violation and vice versa.

From a Lefty's perspective the PRI deliberately blows gas in your eyes - I would imagine Dlask's copy is no different.

...and the gas-buster design won't work with a CMMG .22lr BCG conversion kit. Just saying, 'cause it was my experienc.

I don't s**t straight; I lay big steamy coilers... and I'll still support a Canadian MFGR that makes flash hiders and charging handles for 1/3 the US price. I thought there was an AR link before, and missed it under Rifles, since they have a 10/22, Sr 22, and VZ 58 link and they are 'rifles' also.
Please continue to police the interweb.

I tested the unit today and it worked great. There were no problems at all, my rifle function perfectly. I was worried that the larger latch would catch on clothing or gear especially when hanging on the single point, but it was fine. I did some double feed drills and it worked great, much easier to find the charging handle. I didn't even notice it was there until I needed to use it, but when I did use it, I immediately appreciated the differences.
