I'm looking to buy some winchester 12 gauge wads (WAA12F114 specifically).

Does anyone know of a place that would ship these?

Thanks for any help.

Where are you? In Regina you can get them from TnT , The box stores around her don't carry them so you might want to check smaller shops in your area.

Are you looking for the original or modified version? The WAA12F114 has been discontinued for some time now but there are companies out there that produce copies.

A copy of the modified version is produced by claybuster and is fairly easy to find(Hummason, bilozir.com, etc).

If you are looking for the original version, downrange manufacturing makes copies of them. However, you are SOL on finding a Canadian source/someone who's willing to import them. I've already emailed a whole bunch of reloading supply places and none will import them.

^That's exactly the conclusion I have come to. I would like the DownRange version, but I'm hoping the claybusters version does the trick. Thanks for the heads up.

PS......bilozir.NET, I didn't know what the hell i was getting into at .com :D

You will not find Downrange products easily in Canada. I buy them direct for the 28ga and 410 from the US from Recob's Target Shop in WI
Look up their web page and yes they will ship wads to canada but shipping is expensive so make sure you max the quanity since there is not much difference between 1000 and 5000.

Precision Reloading will ship shotgun wads to Canada, and carry Downrange.

I used the Win WAA12F114 (yellow) for reloading the cast Lyman slugs in 12ga. The Downrange version samples I purchased are a tiny bit smaller inside diameter in the shot cup, and it doesn't fit the Lyman slugs as well as the WAA12F114's.

I researched a bit further, and found that the WAA12 (white) wad still in production by Winchester is functionally equivalent to the WAA12F114. The WAA12 samples I purchased fit the Lyman slug as well as the WAA12F114. I'll be switching to the WAA12 for that application when I exhaust my stocks of the WAA12F114.

LeBaron (among others) sells the WAA12 wad.

You'll have to find and confirm a new recipe for the different wad. Current Lyman shotshell book should have load data.

Since I'm running loads way below max I'm comfortable with the substitution. I'll chrono to confirm where they rank compared to the previous handloads I was making.

Just checked their site and they don't ship wads to Canada.

Also, the modified version of the WAA12F114 wad is longer than the original, and has very similar dimensions to the WAA12. From my reading, subbing in a WAA12 in will usually result in higher pressures so I wouldn't recommend it.

Sorry, guess PR changed their "restricted items" policy yet again. My order was filled in Jul/2009.

Re-developing a load based on a current production wad is going to be the best long-term option. Lyman #5 lists WAA12 wad load data.
