... but I have to ask where I can get a synthetic stock my my No.4.

I see Marstar has them but the ones they have are the ones with the Monte Carlo stock. I'm not putting a scope on it so I'd rather have a plain one.

For what it's worth, the rifle has been Bubba'd pretty badly already. This is just a bush-whacking rifle for when I'm out and about. I just want a more comfortable stock for it.

Thanks guys!

do not touch the ati stock it is an utter POS it is heavier than the wood fits like crap and the little checkered inserts will chop you up. I had to give mine away to get rid of it. and the guy I gave it to has tried to give it back twice. caveat emptor

i've used both ramline and ati stocks on my enfields for hunting as i didn't want to bugger up the original wooden enflield stocks. both work very well. the ramline is identical to the original enfield wood and doesn't have the comb like the ati stock does.

however, when i used my jungle carbine for hunting, the silly flash extender/bayonet lug kept getting caught up on the bush so it was a simple 20 minute job with a hacksaw to cut the darn thing off. :p

If your current stock is not comfortable, it is highly likely that the lenth of "pull" does not fit you. Number 4 butts came in lengths of Bantam (extra-short), Short, Normal, Long, Extra-Long and Extra-Extra-Long. They are marked, respectively, as B, S, no mark for Normal, L, XL and XXL.

I refuse to add any more to this Bubba-ising!

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

I think the customising was already done before the op got it

Yes, the "bubba"ing was definitely done before I got it. I only paid $50 for the rifle and that was JUST a little more than it was worth at the time. ;)

It's simply not worth a wood stock and besides, all my other guns sport black plastic furniture so I gotta dress it appropriately so it doesn't feel like an outcast. :p

Thanks for all the info guys!

Come on, you gotta have at least ONE outcast in your safe! :p
