toggle lock?

is there a cheaper more bush friendly 22 that uses the izmash toggle lock action? it seems like a fast and sturdy little action, but i dont want to spend a grand or more on one that might not work with some dirt in it or without perfect match grad ammo. it also only needs to hit within a minute of gopher, and a regular old synthetic stock and more basic iron sights would do just fine.

as much as i appreciate this in terms of cost and function, the toggle has an unforgettable appeal for me since i picked up a display unit at a gun show

it turns out they do make a basic rifle based on the biathalon rifles

I just had to post it ... I saw a post on here by Dr. Lector of a rifle that had a toggle action but looked like a Ruger type receiver. But it was described as a biathlon type action and I can only assume that is the same as what you are looking for.

I'll see if I can root out the post.

Not sure that will come in a whole lot under a grand either but its a sharp looking gun!
