SR-22 Which Loctite?

The take down bolt on my SR22 gets loose after about 50-75 rounds. Which type of Loctite is best to remedy this problem? I know red is permanent and should not be used. So which would be best Blue or Green?

I would use BLUE. it is the common one used for guns as it is easy to remove parts. I'm a fan of GREEN for use such as scope bases.
 
I don't think it is too short. It goes in tightly but requires tightening every couple mags or so. Is there somewhere I can buy another screw to compare. I have little knowledge of nuts and bolts etc.:redface:
 
I've never had a take-down screw shoot loose (and I've had quite a few things shoot loose.)

Tighten it a bit tighter than you have been.

Use BLUE. Red is essentially permanent. Lots of heat needed to remove red.

I've used blue on scope mounts, rings, sling rings, and just about everything in between. If you have at least two full turns on the thread you are good to go with blue on rimfire. On centre fire I like 1/8" minimum thread bite. And blue is still all I use.

Blue for sure.
If you are considering GREEN there are 2 different types.
1 is for screws already in place. It has a water like consistency
The other is for Permanent applications. If you have trouble with a screw that has red loctite good luck with this Green one.
 
you can also put an o-ring at the head of the screw- it puts pressure on the threads and keeps them from loosening. Just don't use it where there's too much oil.

Blue is best- but make sure you get Loctite brand, there's some offbrand stuff out there that I've used and been VERY unhappy with.
