Great Soviet WWII pics!

You could get a Gewehr 98 with an extended magazine (not removeable though, just extended internal). Maybe it's sort of like a prototype of that?

the straight mag coupled with the straight handle bolt is throwing me off.

Plus the sheer size of the mag, and what looks like a lengthen bolt? looks bigger than it should be.

It's odd for sure I'm completly stumped. The picture is supposed to be from Sevastopol in 1941 if it helps anyone identify that firearm.

Hmm I didn't know that they were sent P17s as aid. Not a surprise, I just hadn't seen any pictured examples before.

Could they be P14s from either us or the Brits? I know they had Ross rifles!
