Glock 26 gen4 Mini Review

While i do like the look of those and its the one glock i want to own , i would prefer the prohib length barrel honestly , i had a chance to fire a glock 19 with prohib length barrel and it was a dream to shoot , however with that bit of barrel sticking out maybe its a burn deterrent , to avoid one sticking it down their waistband

I shot a G30 last week, I have big hands and it was actually nice to shoot.
A friend of mine has the 26 with "Canadian" barrel. This is the pistol I shoot almost as well as my Tokarev. The G-17 I could not shoot so I gave it to my son a long time ago and the G-21SF I sold a while back as I could not shoot that either. But the G-26 has been the only 9mm pistol I have ever shot well bar none. Would I like one? Yes. Can I afford one? No. Not many people can afford to pay for a pistol, have its' barrel thrown away and be forced to pay for another barrel. So, I'll stick with my Tokarev.
I just want to show off this gem and give a quick qualitative review.
I took it to the range for the first time and man it was sweet!
It fed all the commercial ammo just fine.
(FTE, FTF reloaded stuff from SFRC
I found it to be very easy to shoot. very smooth. not snappy at all!
Hands down my favorite glock!
Who makes the barrel for this gun?
Thats way too much cash to spend on a ####ing glock.....
Id rather just pick up a new colt 1911.

Anyway I've been shooting my Glock 23 with the Lone Wolf barrel, it needed a break-in period as I had a few FTFs in the first couple of mags but it seems fine now.
I don't like this Gen4 grip thing that much, I use the biggest backstrap as I have really long fingers and in doing so, it's possible for the web of your hand to move up on the backstrap far enough for the slide to catch it. One of the reasons I wanted the 23 is because the trigger reach is longer on the smaller guns, I can live with it, it was only a graze but it's annoying. Plus the pin that holds it together seems kind of feeble.
I remember the Glock 23 having stout recoil for a gun of this class, and it definitely does, all this "the frame absorbs the recoil" crap, er no, it's a lightweight gun and you definitely know that it has gone off. In rapid fire I was definitely experiencing pain in my wrist and had a minor case of tennis elbow afterward.
Also the cases that come out of it have some significant damage around the mouth, basically because of really high slide velocity, the cases are just ripped out of the barrel so fast. They also get thrown much further than average.
They have fixed some of the things that annoyed me about Glocks, for example the front sight is pinned in now so it doesn't pop off and also the breechface is cut properly flat and even. This one though has a stamped serial# and I'm sure I've seen Glocks with laser-engraved numbers on them. The problem with the stamped ones is that the slides have a tendency to crack through the serial number eventually. I prefer the magazine release on this Gen4 gun as well.
But yeah, it's a lightweight .40 calibre pistol, pretty much what I expected. Not for the beginner.
