I just joined GRGC and it's a great club, but there is no scheduled ODPL practice sessions. I'm new to ODPL and I definitely need to practice more. I just wanted to see if any other GRGC members are interested in something like this. We'd need a GRGC RSO as well of course, so if you are one it would help.

Other than match day(s) I only attend the range(s) during the day on weekdays...
'Not conducive to facilitating others desire to practice.
My thinking is that most people are Monday to Friday 9-5ers.

That said... In order to practice all you gotta do is hook up with a buddy and go.
Yes at least one of you needs to be a club rso, but... Shouldn't everyone get their club rso tag?

I definitely will take the GRGC RSO course, but there's a mandatory 1 year/12 sign-off probation first. I just joined on Saturday, so I've got a ways to go. I just thought I'd throw this out there and see if there's any interest. No worries, I'll keep doing what I've been doing until now.

Hey I'm RSO at GRGC and I wanted to get a practice day for ODPL going.. PM me and we can work something out, there are others who might be interested..

IMHO there are way too many "courses". I'm interested in shooting and having some fun, not taking more courses. And dry fire practice at home starts to get old after a while. At most clubs you can't usually just holster up and start shooting without organizing something. GRGC is a big club with quite a few handgun shooters, so I thought some of them might be interested in setting up some simple COF's a couple times a month and shooting (with the ok from the club of course). Nothing as complex as the big matches, just some fun. I know some IDPA clubs have "league nights" weekly or bi-weekly so I thought something like that.

ODPL matches are practices...? You can take a pistol course by TDSA or OneShotTactical.

I'm surprised Guelph does not have a practice night, I'm sure the interest would be there with the size of the club. We started practice nights once a month at Bridgeport and the participation and interest is growing. I'm sure you can get something going there.

Man iam glad i am not a member of any of those clubs, basically i just show up and if either of the action pistol ranges is free (99.9% of the time) i practice my little heart out - drills etc. we also have little 3-5 stage fun matches twice a month.

I wish, but they have a club level rule of not shooting alone. It started a couple of years ago when they had some problems with a new neighbor. They pretty much went into "overkill mode" to satisfy the CFO. It's a great club otherwise.
