try dismounting your barrel and running a 9m-1.25 tap in there - that SHOULD be small enough not to damage your chamber

There was a thread awhile back regarding this. After 3 cases of Czech ammo I had the same problem. One poster (I can't recall who) suggested:

Heat the chamber with a hot air dryer, get it nice and hot.
Squirt some starting fluid onto the broken shell (which causes it too cool fast and shrink)
Insert a 3/8" fine tap into the broken shell and give it several turns to seat the tap into the broken shell case.
Stick a cleaning rod in from the barrel end.
Tap cleaning rod firmly with rubber mallet.
Shell case with ripped off head should pop out along with 3/8" tap from your chamber.
Remove tap from broken case.

I tried the above procedure and it worked well. Had to do it on 3 seperate occasions. Popped the broken shell out without problem (you may have to hit the cleaning rod with some firm force, but not super hard force).

I have since used acetone to clean my chamber of shellac residue. I also used alittle JB Bore past to clean/polish the chamber of residue. I haven't had a chance to go shoot yet to determine if if this cleaning/polishing has helped to prevent further seperated x39 steel cases.

~ Run an oversize bore brush into the broken case, pull the brush out. Sometimes the bristles are enough to pull the case out.

~ Pour a chamber cast and push it out.
