#1 The forces will melt/destroy any guns that are being decommissioned.
#2 Sig 225's are prohibited by barrel length so even if they were to be sold, the market is tiny and probably uninterested.

Oh, I already know I'm not getting one. Dosen't change the fact that I still want it. And yes I could buy one that's in the system, but I'd love to have one from the CF.
'Course, I'd love to have a FAL too and that's not happening anytime soon. Maybe some day. Change is possible

After going through the Annex here's what I"ve come up with:
Glock - No go due to pulling trigger required for dissambly (which has been established earlier in the thread)
M&P - sounds plausible, however does the requirement of a pin of sorts to disengage the sear for dissembly count as a requirement for tools? All M&Ps come with the pin located in the grip but it all depends how that is interpreted.
Sig DAK - AFAIK the standard DA trigger pull from Sig would be too heavy (12lbs?) but I'm sure that could be tuned. Another option.
After having read through the entire thread, I realise that there are other options (HK for instance). I guess time will only tell. I hope there will be further publications as the procurement process continues, wouldn't mind seeing how things progress.

I have occasionally seen old battered Inglis HPs at gun shows down here, but always too much coin IMHO. If the entire inventory is sold outside Canada, could drive the price down and give some good deals. For the right price I'd like to put one beside my more modern BHP.
If there ever was any hope that it could happen (selling to civilians), the time is now.
Major Facts:
1. One of the main reasons the government of the day was put in place, was through the efforts of vocal firearms owners.
2. The government in place is probably more realistic and rational than any government for the last couple decades.
3. Said government has a fresh majority.
4. The government desperately could use the money.

Replaced by 2015 maybe? try 2020, and The serviceable pistols will be in storage as the old SMG is by the thousands.Any Inglis condemned will be chopped and we will never see sold on Civi street in Canada.But Canada along with the UK does have a record of giving away weapons to help third world countries.Who we also help to train.
Also look at the cost Canada paid for the C8 to be built in Canada,Canadian Government never uses common sense, Its all about BS Contracts in Canada Never mind Cost
And what ever weapon is recommended by the troops , will never be bought any way..Some dumb ass politician will buy a Pistol that has LSVW Stamped
on it.. LOL

Based on the last war, I doubt that there are many left at the depot
