SKS Sight pusher - who makes a good one?

After years of playing with Czech rifles, I finally broke down and bought a Russian SKS. I was pleasantly surprised with the workmanship, the condition, and the accuracy. I liked it so much I'm going to buy another, just to have one to pimp out.

Question for the group: there are about half a dozen different sight adjustment tools offered for the SKS. Any opinions as to a good one, or even - if you've tried several - the best one?

Only want to spend the money once.
 
Magna-Matic AK/SKS sight tool. The best. Period.

Before I knew better, I bought a cheap ebay one.
Had to grind an edge of it to allow the pusher to properly engage the site sfc. The sight needed a lot of force, so I protected the "C" from opening up with a second C clamp.
The reality is you'll only need to use it once so if you can borrow a cheap one or use a flat punch and vernier, you can forgo getting the cadilac.

Me personaly after I sight in my irons I never have to touch them again & just use some good old fashoin Kentucky windage. Or if I do want perscion I just get an red dot or a scope.

Well, I can't tell you makes a good one but I can tell who makes a very poor one, the SKSTOOL sold by CanadaAmmo,com, trading as Disco-Teck Industries in North Vancouver.

I bought one in April 2010, paying $9.99 for the tool, $10 postage plus GST of $1 for a total of $20.99.

It is crap. On two Tulas, 1951 and 1953, the tool will not work properly, even after I did a fair bit of Dremel work. The hood of front sight interfered with the tool.

Yesterday, I was out with my Tula '51, and tried to raise the front sight by turning the sight clockwise (in) but the tool would not even do that.

I know, you get what you pay for but I believed their web site.

I knownthat CanadaAmmo is listed at the page top.
 
It seems pretty obvious that in the long run the circular magna-matic type adjuster is going to have better structural integrity than the `horseshoe`shaped adjuster.

I haven't tried the CanAm tool on my Tula but it works great on the Chinese ones I have. It works on my SVT too.

Well, I think that the CanAm tool is made in China and so it is not surprising that it works on a Chinese SKS.

Also, I found that the thread fit was very sloppy, so bad I had to fill the threads with teflon plumbers tape in an attempt to make it work. And the end of the windage screw would skate all over the X pin the rifle.

My assessment of the tool stands, a rip off for a Tula '51 & '53.
