been looking for a laws rocket tube with caps and carry strap still attached and just wondering what a person will have to pay for such an item.

On a really good day you might find one for $75 from someone who doesn't know the market value. I have seen dealers getting $150 to $275 for them these days.

I remember the days when you could drive down to the base dump and pick them up from the side of the pit.

I saw a Canadian disposable LAW go for $400 at the Calgary gun show April 10th. Collector's Source has two of em for sale, $300 and $350 each I think. Where was that dump again?

A complete #### & click LAW tube with undamaged sights (most were demil broken on purpose), rubber covers, end caps and sling were hard to find even back in the good old days. If you see one in this condition, you are wised to snap it up at any price before it is gone.

The gun show is almost always overpriced though, so they're usually a bad reference point for pricing.

Well it's been 2 years since the last post on this topic and I'm just wondering what's the current value of one of these LAW's tubes?

Say a complete #### & click with undamaged sites, along with both endcaps and sling, in mint condition?

you forgot to mention with the WIRE INTACT- most folks don't know what that is for

I think that they have a lot of appeal for "wannabe sojers", "Mr. Dressups",
etc.;)

As mentioned earlier, we used to bring them home for the kids to play with in the PMQ patch. At one point they would puncture the tubes and paint them with blue rings, etc to indicate inert status. No doubt they get destroyed, rather than disposed of, nowadays.

I gave one to my son on his 14th b-day, big hit.
But it was on the understanding that it stays at Gramma & Grampa's house( in the country ). Running around Calgary in fatigues pointing a LAW at kids would probably be followed by a visit from a SWAT team; STAT.
And they would take away that cool toy, too!

Early M72 had a wire as part of the cocking system.

I see. The one I have doesn't have any wire. It's a M72 A3.

Any idea what this black piece of aluminum on the end of the lead is for?
