I always ask if they like steak, and then say:"How much chance do you think that poor cow had before it was confined and slaughtered ?" Usually shuts them up...

Well, starting in 3 more sleeps I'm going to try my darndest to kill a tasty moose, and believe me I'm hoping to offend such persons as mentioned when I say should I have success I will cook a piece of it's liver within 10' of it's still warm body and gleefully eat it on the spot as a tasty respite to the sometimes herculean appearing task of breaking down and bringing out of the deep, wild bush in pieces such a massive, delicious beast.
Without a doubt my hands will be bloody when I do it and no, I will not wash it off before I eat the liver.
So if any such persons are reading this, stick that in your granola pipe.![]()
What's so weird about catching graylings and shooting a couple of Ptarmigan for the pot???
Here in Bow Island today it feels like snow, haha. We're heading N; from your posted location, about 100 mi E of you, roughly. Where we're going tonight it's forecast +1, getting warmer for a few days, then becoming more seasonal.
We have 2 weeks, so hoping the weather and the rut co-operate. If the first couple days are too warm I plan on trying to catch a grayling, maybe find a ptarmigan for supper while we spotting.![]()
Don't like liver Dench?
CGN has some weird hunters.
