I'm looking where I can get a .590" mould and some cases (Jamieson, converted Magtech 24 gauge hulls, whatever).

Epps is no longer able to bring in Jamieason and they are out of magtech - any other sources that will ship to me?

Well that seem to be a no-go. Prophet river can't help and Budget doesn;t have it on their website, no posted phone number, but I've sent an e-mail. Not very hopeful though - they don't seem to have much oddball stuff.

Budget gave me a quote for 20pcs Jamieson at $70, but it will take a few weeks to come in. I may go that way, but I want to hear from Old Yote first since if I buy from him it's cheaper and I can oder the mould I want at the same time - IF he will ship to Canada ;)

Read up on "Old Yote" on the British Militaria Forums and you'll find him to be synonymous with "crook". Beware.

Last 24 ga Magtech I bought was from Will Bilozir, but that was a few years ago. http://www.bilozir.net/

I used a Lee 0.600" round ball in mine. Tap it gently into the case and apply lube - worked like a charm. It sounds greatly oversized, but being a sphere, the contact area is very small.

Just out of curiosity, why is Epps no longer able to bring in Jamieson brass?

Thats what I've always figured.
I've no Iron Ring, but it is obvious that over sized with a cylinder type shape is one thing but with a sphere it is quite a different story.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious Andy!!
Cheers!

picked up a box of Magteck 24g brass from Rayner Shine Gunworks at the Sask gun show this past weekend, $30/25 he had more but just didnt bring it.

Tradex has nothing.

Rayner is getting me a quote, but they have the Magtech stuff for about $1 a round. Will need sizing and trimming, but I have a lathe and dies already...

now to fins a .590" short minie or paradox mould.
