John

wow i am getting my restricted in a month or so and i know where i am buying my first handgun.......thanks johnone.........

he bought a gun, he received a rusted piece of s**t... why shouldn't he post about it where ever the hell he feels like it???
OR
he bought a norc so he deserves a piece of #### rusted hunk of metal?

never-mind, its rhetorical...

what are you the thought fraking police? next you tell him where he can buy his firearms and not... better yet you tell him what kind of firearms he can have or not... where does it stop?

point being; shut the frak up unless the post was meant for you or you have something helpful for the OP

Point being; CGN has a private message system for these sort of things. If you want to air these things in public, be prepared for public input... even if that is comments from the peanut gallery.

Also, Welcome to the internet! You must be new here!

BOY! The gun you bought arrives yesterday, it has a problem, you send an e-mail then if you don't get an immediate reply, you post it on a gun forum within 24 hours. I see that your post is at 7:49 AM, so do you really think that there is someone at Marstar all night just answering e-mails. Give a person some time to reply. Whatever happened to a little bit of patience, courtesy, and understanding?

I can understand your reluctance to phone, but do you not think that someone could phone for you while you are with them and thus clear up a problem?

The Dealer has offered you a replacement barrel, or a replacement gun, and a 10% discount, and you think that it is going to inconvenience you to send the firearm back? If he replaces the gun, how much time and effort will it take the Dealer to reregister the two of them to the respective parties? It would appear to me that YOU are the one who is being a bit unreasonable in your demands!

Perhaps as a Penance, you should demand that John bend over on the Post Office steps at Noon on a Saturday and you whack his butt with a Cricket Bat, but first give you 15 minutes to draw a crowd. That will teach him to not send out what you think is unacceptable merchandise to people like you.

Grow up, Get Real and be Reasonable. I don't think you are going to get too much sympathy on this one.

By posting something like this publicly on this Forum, it became meant for anyone who reads it, and thus anyone who reads it is free to comment or render their opinion on the subject.

Marstar is being reasonable and willing to make things right, but I just wonder how such a flaw was not noticed in the first place prior to selling/shipping ... in seconds?

The OP should consider asking for a refund and forget about this ...

I'm pretty sure that they would just open the box to check the serial number or maybe not even that. I don't expect stores to inspect firearms in sealed boxes before they ship, come on man!

So you got a s**t gun, he will send you a new barrel, seems fair... or you can send it back and he'll send you a new one, also fair...

Paid to much? Thats your fault.

My only experiance with this store was good, I called about some parts, they took my info, called me the next day, didn't have all the stuff I needed. Some polite french dude told me sorry we can help, I said no problem and it was done.

Sounds to me like you (op) figure you should get a free gun, so you don't have to ship that one back at $15 which I'm sure will be covered by John.

So in the end you want a gun that works with a blemish, and then another one on top for your heartache.

What the hell is wrong with the world? I just had carpet done on my stairs, the guy kicked a big hole in my wall. I told them I will pay for the carpet when it's fixed, it's getting fixed. Did I tell them my carpet should be free? Hell no, not the way the world works.

Wow, just wow.

Since no one (except Marstar) knows what you paid, how does anyone know if it was too much? You were offered
10% off IIRC.

The condition of the barrel interior will come later when this thread is just about to die.

Oh, wait, John offered him a replacement gun or barrel. Guessing the OP will hold out for two Norincos now.

:bangHead:

Told ya!

If you can see and verify the serial number you have obviously opened the box right?

A minute to make a cursory examination of the gun should not be a problem and a gun with such a flaw should go back and in my opinion at the sellers cost ... for a refund and forget about it.

Anyway, all this should not have been the subject of a post on this forum. You should have deal direct with Marstar. This is how business is done, not by exposing your small problems to all for resolution when you have not done what you have to do - deal with the seller.:HR:

This is an odd thing to expect from any dealer of any pre-packaged/from the factory product, whether it be a firearm, a stereo, a flashlight, or anything..
The dealer opens the package in the case of firearms, only because it is required to verify the SN, otherwise, like any other product I order online, I expect the last person who saw it, was working in a factory, and likely didn't speak english.

Man, just send back the barrel

Pistols are packed in either a plastic bag in a case or in a styrofoam tray in a carton

In all cases they are covered in a thick oil, a minor blemish vould be easy to miss.

Please take a moment to read our replies and offers....
