Semi auto belt fed rifles.

Perhaps when the economy in the US improves we will begin production as the Canadian market alone is simply too small to justify a large run.

John

Either you have WAY too much stock or have under estimated the need in Canuckistan.
If the price is right, I know a lot of those Semi M53's would get sold just from CGN members alone!

I only hope you still keep lots of belts in stock. :D

A Typical production run would be 2,000 units, unless I am very wrong I can't see the Canadian market absorbing that many....

I agree, Canadain gun market wouldnt cover 2000 units, But the U.S isn't choaked entirly, there will still be some demand down there. 2000 units may not sell super fast, but they will sell, especally if they are priced reasonably. If you're waiting for the U.S to rebound you'll likly be waiting a long time, And in that time frame you will not make a penny back on your R&D costs on that gun. Making money slowly is better than sitting on it and making no money at all.

Not sure I understand the reasoning here, at the moment I am out the R&D costs, period, this I can live with....
On the other hand I would be putting out a couple of million just to produce these guns, then sit on them a for ????
John

This topic has been going on forever and looks to me like there won't be any more (MG34s & 1919A4s) for many moons if ever. Those of us who have them can bless our lucky stars and can expect to get at least what we paid for them if not more. The EE is the only place to find them. Amen.

2000 guns $2,000,000.00 to produce them = $1000 per gun
I'll take 2 ! :D
Oh wait you're going to want to mark them up to make a profit aren't you
100% ? 200% ? 300% ? 400% ? Whats a non restricted semi auto MG42/M53 go for ?
Maybe I can only afford 1

Care to sell? :D

You sure are doom and gloom.

Sorry, just my sneaky way of getting you to tell us how many units you have. :p

Unfortunately, I agree. That's a whack load of units to build!
Any possibility selling them as unfinished semi kits? "Build your own" using your plans? This is offered by many US outfits. :D

B]I said a couple of million, I did not feel that it required me to break down all cost for you;
There is the actual purchase of the guns, the manufacturing of a new receiver, the machining of the internals, manufacturing of a new trigger group, packaging crating and shipping to Canada....
[/B]

Oh wait you're going to want to mark them up to make a profit aren't you Yes my friend we are in business to make a profit, I know this is a dirty word for the socialist minded out there....

100% ? 200% ? 300% ? 400% ? How the hell do you arrive at these wild conclusions, have you been partaking of some of BC's finer agricultural products ??

Whats a non restricted semi auto MG42/M53 go for ? The target price was $2,400. with spare barrel, carrier, ammo boxes, belts, tool pouch, etc, etc.

Maybe I can only afford 1

Heck! I could afford two of those!

But I gotta ask again, is there any way to pre order the new MG34's coming in? Is there ANYONE out there with one collecting dust that I could purchase off them? I have a very lonely 1941 MG34 Lafette. :(

Your right, it makes perfect sense. It would tie up your money, and Interest on a few million could eat up a most of your profit margin over a long enough period of time. So I guess I'll have to wait, but someday is better than never.
