Getting started in IDPA in ontario

Hi
Im a new shooter and Im looking for advice on getting into IDPA in ontario.
It seems like the IDPA canada forum is down so i cant ask there.
Are there any new shooter orientation courses coming up so i can get hoslter qualified? Also how do i sign up for idpa membership?
Im located in the GTA area so any club hosting the idpa new shooters course close to gta would be great.

You can get the membership from the main idpa webpage, it's a foreign membership you get. Your in the gta so you should come out to the marksmen club in Oshawa and check it out, we shoot idpa every other Thursday night(last night).

Yes we are working on updating the forum. Someone hacked the site and our forum will be down until we decide whether we want to upgrade the site or replace the site with new software. Give us a couple of weeks to get this settled.

There is a NSo course @ EESA on October 22nd if your interested...Cost is 10 bucks...

Sorry to the OP I got distracted and forgot to reply to your question. The Marksmen Club has IDPA every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

I have had a few requests for another NSO course so I am looking into setting one up. I will send you a PM when I know more.

EESA might not be paid up then. If you miss paying the club fee for even a month they take you off the list.

Well I run it so I may know more. ;-). 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. The other Thursdays are now IPSC.

Don't forget some months have a fifth Thursday. Only 2nd and 4th.
