Go to hunting bullet

Winchester PowerMax. That stuff is obscenely accurate in any gun ive tried it in for a factory load, hits a deer sized animal like the hammer of Thor, and is CHEAP for a bonded bullet.

I used those on my spring black bear 180gr from my 30-06 . first shot went through both shoulders and part of the spine. mushroomed great. second shot threw the lungs broke 2 ribs with a 1.5 exit hole.

this year I'm trying 200gr accubonds out of my .325wsm

I go with whatever the cheapest, hardest hitting, and accurate cartridge I can get. For me, that's usually a reload using Hornady Interlocks

If I have to buy factory ammo, it's usually Winchester or Federal.

For myself Hornady SST Interlock in all my hunting caliber, only had success since i started using those... JP.

In the end, I know that everyone here has a shelf or two of part-full boxes of bullets. It's the mark of a serious handloader. Gun Nuts have bullets for rifles that they no longer own. Rifle Loonies have bullets for rifles that they have never owned!

Someday I will own a 280 Ross.

Oh and bullets, I like Sierra.
