Most of the time it is operator error ,not the search. Dont put "-.,!@#$%" in your search and also look for "Find Posts from" on the page and change it to the time period you are looking for .
Awright. Most of the time eh? Bull!
I've spent some time, many times, trying to find my own f**king posts, ferchrist sake, when I knew what there was in them, and what keywords I should have been able to use to find them, and had to resort to page by page scanning through the listings to find them. I have played with about every available option that I thought would work, and a bunch that I tried changing just to see if they would make any differences.
I have tried it with Firefox (two versions, on two different computers) Chrome, and IE (not sure the version, work computer).
I'll stand by my opinion that the search function is pretty much just pooched from the get-go.
Add to that the horrendous default settings to start with, and that makes a bad thing worse.
Truth is, it is one of the few things I would like to see changed about the site. I can understand the logic behind trying to keep the server horsepower from being tied up by searches that encompass too broad a swath of data, but I'm pretty sure it was supposed to work better than it does.
Oh, and to add insult to injury, I have to wait 20 seconds between attempts that come up frikken empty! FarrrKKKKK!!!!!!!!
There. That feels better!
Cheers

And on the flip side, we should email Ruger and tell them that they could have sold a ton of the BX-25 in Canada if it wasn't for their stupid marketing campaign.
Ruger Introduces 25-Round Magazine for Ruger 10/22
April 29, 2011
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) announces that owners of America's most popular autoloading rimfire rifle, the Ruger® 10/22®, can enjoy the extended fun offered by the new 25-round BX-25™ magazine. The new, genuine Ruger BX-25 magazine features the same correct angle feed lips that deliver the famous reliability of factory BX-1™ 10-round rotary magazines.
The BX-25 magazine will work in all vintages of Ruger 10/22 and SR-22® rifles, as well as all Ruger Charger™ pistols. The BX-25 magazines have stainless steel feed lips and use a stainless steel "constant force" spring. The anti-tilt follower is injection molded from Celcan - a high lubricity polyacetal. The magazine body halves are injection molded from durable glass-filled nylon.
I wonder what the legal difference between "made for" and "will work in" is...?

Have you read this thread? Or any of the several others?Have any dealers tried importing them yet..?
Have any dealers tried importing them yet..?
They are a prohibited magazine, therefore you cannot have them imported. If you did order them, they would be seized at the border, and you would likely see charges.
Placed order with Rimfire Customs for 4 Magazines. Box arrived at Post office covered in Canada Customs tape and a bill for $25 for duties. So the box was opened and inspected by Custom Agents. Someone screwed up.
I guess I'll just sit here and wait for that knock on the door.
Shouldn't be too hard to track down an importer in Baie Verte.....
The knock might come sooner rather than later, seeing as you've announced that you have these magazines.
