Putting together a fairly inexpensive hunting 10/22 that is light to carry in the field.
So far I have a modified factory stock and a GM Sporter Fluted Barrel (thank you Wham-O :))

Still needing to pick up an aftermarket metal Trigger group, bolt, recoil rod and all the small internals (buffer, Stainless Hex Takedown Screw...etc)

BTW, these new receivers are tough to get a barrel in and out of. Any suggestions? Light sanding around the receiver shank hole???

Try putting the barrel in the freezer and warm up the receiver (warm to the touch) in the oven, or just over a heat register.

Many times that is all that is required as the aftermarket barrels are machined to tighter tolerances.

If that doesn't work you could remove some material from the receiver with a flapper wheel but once you remove material it is gone for good so be careful.

It seems that the new 10/22s have some type of glue around the barrel shank , you need heat to get them apart , the freezer will work for the barrel install
