***PPS Pietta 22LR. Problem***

Hey guys, I have recently purchased one of these little semi-auto and took it to the range. When I inserted the mag empty and pulled back the receiver I noticed it wasn't locking back. I then filled and inserted the banana magazine in it and shot maybe about 20 rounds with it. After the last round in the action again it did not remain opened. This seemed weird to me so I e-mailed the guy I bought it off of. He replied back saying that this is normal and that all the PPS Pietta 22lr. are like that. Is this true?

It's true. There is no lock open device on this firearm. You will have to learn how to count to 10/30 or 50, depending on the capacity of your magazines.
The 30 rd magazines work the best.
