Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has purchased a Vortex ADR Cantilever Scope mount?

I would like to know what you think of them.

Best regards,

They are branded American Defense Mfg. mounts, and I have found them to be excellent (on part with LaRue). I like the simple tool-less tension adjustment on the levers.

I have 2 ADM mounts. I like the fact you can adjust the tension without a tool, it dosn't Fk up the finish on the rail, and both levers lock.

I also have a Burris PEPR, and a Larue.

If I ever need another offset mount, then I will have 3.

Where'd you guys pick up that mount? I think that should do the trick for my Viper PST when my NEA carbine shows up!!!:D

The last thing I need are mounts

Thanks!

Which one do you prefer between the Burris and the ADM? I looked at the Burris at P&D today, but they didn't have the quick release in 30mm. I don't know if I'll ever have a need to swap optics regularly on my AR, so maybe the quick release is not necessary.

The Burris was more reasonably priced. For an "inexpensive" AR, all the goodies that I've had to buy to go with my upcoming rifle are tapping out my toy fund. :(

ADM buy a long shot.

If I could go back in time I would combine the extra money I spent on the Larue with the money I saved on the PEPR and got another ADM.

Pretty sure the PEPR is made in China, were as the ADM in the USA...if that matters to you.

The PEPR does feel kinda "Leapers'ish".

Kinda depends what the extra $80-100 means to you. If you never take your optic off then the NON QD PEPR will serve you well. My optics tend to play "musical chairs" with my AR uppers so the QD is nice.

Thanks, Gas Can.

You know, I have just been focusing on this 1 AR. I could see other uppers in my future. I think the Viper PST will be a good optic that should be applicable to different applications and different uppers. I've had a taste of 3 gun, and think it's something I will totally get into. That being said, I did pre-order my NEA with a 14.5" barrel. I have a tendency to associate quality and performance with accuracy, so thought I should start with the longer barrel :)

Maybe I will get the ADM/ADR and avoid the buyers remorse later. :bangHead:
