Norinco NZ85 or 85b good for IPSC production?

I have the 9mm and 40 Norcs. If you are mechanically gifted, you can fine tune these inexpensive Chinese pistols so that they shoot every bit as well as their CZ counterparts.
The CZ has a much better trigger "out of the box" but the Norc is easy to work with. There are some real small springs in these guns so do not attempt gunsmithing after having consumed copious amounts of beer.
I am not a gunsmith, but am a manual hands on person. I have worked on all my Norcs and am very satisfied with the results.
If we were allowed to CCW in Canada, I would carry one without hesitation.

few years back at a match, someone had a few of these for tryout.. I think he was dealer for them... i remember watching someone shoot it and i could see the slide moving slowly and jamming or just not finishing cycling fully... he said, well we've been shooting them all day trying them out and they're gumming up... hmm. I've never had my glock or colt with that problem even with 1000 rnds or more of not cleaning...
I believe it was the sig copy and not sure what the other was...probably the cz copy....

I now have norc m4, as reviews by most have been great and so far i like it, no promblems... maybe the pistols are better now too, like their m4....
I would definately get much more feedback before using it for a sport demanding as ipsc/idpa....

I have two Norc cz. One in 9mm and 1 in 40. Also have both calibers in the Norc 226 clone. All needed Hogue grips.
All needed trigger jobs and now are almost as good as the real deal. I use the Norc CZ in CQB and could use it in IDB.
My SIGS shot low out of the box. The Norcs are such faithfull copies they shoot low, too.
This was NZ75 was shot with cast lead bullets, 20 yards, two hands.
My real CZ is a bit better, but I prefer to use the Norc in situations where top notch accuracy is not required. I take some pleasure in getting performance out of cheap guns.

it seems the cz did more than just a bit better.... the norc had overal decent hits, but no holes overlapping.. where the cz, except a few shots pulled, they were all ontop or next to each other... that actually pretty good...
I would have been concerned about overal realibility over the accuracy.. but with your above report...and I understand this is your test and not an official test comparison, but going with yours for a moment...,
I can see where shooting for fun would be great gun, but if for any type of competition, I'd go with the better brand...accuracy or lack there of, will cost you big time if shooting smaller targets, steel plates, etc..
