I know this is old news and if you've watched the military channel in the past 3 years you've probably seen the video.

So im just going to rank on how wrong that is....
IMO it not even in the top 10...45 acp won't go through body armor and thus the Super V is almost useless to a police force or army today..it only got #1 because its a new design...Do any armies or police even use it??

What's your opinion?

I know at least one police force in the states that use it. One thing about it, Power Pill mentioned it wont go through armor but that may be a good thing i dont know. There have been accidents with Response Teams, especially those that dont have the budget to train constantly, and in the confusion entering a building a teammates been hit. Probably glad they didnt use something like the MP7 or P90.

I was rolling the eyes throughout the entire beginning, but the FA-fire did look controlled. Now I wan't to fondle one.

Who's carrying these again? Non-Restricted option?

Also... not a deal breaker, but can they handle 45Super? :)

Shot both the prototypes and the production versions. Slight tweeks between them. (Mostly ergonomics regarding the stock.)

The cam action for the two round burst is nice, but like all other FA, if you don't hold it properly the Kriss can climb like all the rest. (but then again, the original prototype was 1500 RPM....)

Interesting design. Dunno if I'd call it the best.

Maybe they should not attempt to start a SWAT team if the department does not have the resources to train.

Aside from people who've actually shot one, and we can probably count those GunNutz members on 1 hand, who can really say..?

It's not even released here yet.

I said it is one of the best, though likely not the best, as that is a very difficult thing to describe.

I will have a better opinion once I get my Kriss in the mail in a few weeks to compare it to my PS90. Bench test anybody? :D

You can't compare the two unless you compare the short Kriss to the 10" PS90. The 16" (or longer barrels) are an abomination of what the FN and the Kriss are all about.

Is it better than this? :stirthepot2:

In terms of overall length, I agree with you, but I disagree in that it does not affect the overall feel or handling of the firearm for 99% of the shooting most of us do.

I have a 10" PS90, which started its life as a 16" PS90. The handling is very different with the longer barrel hurting its quick handling. Neither the Kriss, nor the P90 were meant for bench shooting (which is what I'm assuming is what you meant by "the shooting most of us do").

Both the Kriss and the P90 are meant as PDWs (although one can argue that the Kriss is a SMG). Small, light and COMPACT. I love reviews and comparison tests, but the longer barrel versions are not authentic to the lineage of the design and nullify any conclusions that are drawn.

Educating myself here, but I fail to see the advantages over the existing (and battle proven) MP5 and the UMP ? It seems to do go about redesigning for flaws that do not, in my mind, exist in the current crop of submachine guns ?

Or is it being crowned the "best" because it is the "newest" and it's "proudly made in America" ? Any side by side relibility, durability and accuracy reports ? Any end user reports ? Other than a handful of PDs, have there been any substantial orders/ expressions of interest ? Has it been a part of any government trails ? What criteria was used to define "best" ?

Looking forward to hearing what the intelligesia has to say. Ya I know, I am a picky bastard :p

The flaw in the Kriss design is the round it chambers. The .45 can't penetrate body armour. Personally, I'd pick a P90, MP7 or short barreled AR before I picked a Kriss for a PDW.
