That is a later issue stock with impressed checkering and stock designs. To post pictures, open a PHOTOBUCKET account, (free) and upload your pictures to Photobucket. Then highlight the IMG code at the bottom of the uploaded picture and COPY the IMG code. Start a thread here, type what you want, and PASTE the copied IMG code at the bottom.
There are several threads on this here and some STICKIES that tell you how to do it. Go to the main menu here on GunNutz near the top and check out the NEWBY and FAQ section. There is a tutorial there on posting pictures.

You can resize your photos on photobucket so they are larger so one can see more detail. Yes, the rabbit stock was a later issue. It also was available on the model 600 and 750. Not sure if Winchester put it on the 39's or not after they took over.

I have had several...many many were impressed with the rabbit.
I adore my 64's!
Have owned a few but, unlucky me...n'er a Rabbit. A fun .22 (my first and, still fav. .22 is a 64, converted to use the metal magazines...mine for about 25 years now) and, a hoot to shoot.
An underrated semi .22. Same basic design, still in production today....that must mean something!
