Thank you Thomas I got my rifle. Today!
EBR looks great. I knew that the rifle would look good without muzzle brake or flash suppressor.
I wish I knew how to post pictures on this site.
I will take it out to the range today.

Great news!
I know a bunch of cgn'ers will be getting parcels this week and next from my bench. Glad to hear... Now, get out there and test her out on those deer :)
Somewwhere on the site is a pic posting tutorial.
I use photobucket, super easy and the just copy the link that starts with

It's funny, I test fired her towards evening and the muzzle blast/flash was huge without a muzzle device. Was actually pretty cool :D
Take some night shots, you'll see what I mean.

Hey Caverk

Go to photobucket.com and sign up. This will allow you to upload your photos from a digital camera.

Once you've uploaded photos there, you'll want to use some BB code tags to hotlink. You basically just {img}http://photobucket.com/url{/img}

Once you do it, you'll never forget how, and it's really simple after you figure it out.

You can put the photos from your camera to computer by taking out the SD card and plugging it into your card reader, or by hooking up a USB cable. If you're using a 35mm camera, you'll have to get someone to take pictures of your pictures to make them digital, or use a scanner. The library may have a scanner you can use, then you can just e-mail yourself the photos.

If you're using your phone to take pictures, you can also e-mail them to yourself right off the device.

You can also just e-mail the photos to one of us and we can put them up for you. I'd actually like to see some pics of your harvest this year, try to go for 100 this time!

thats not that bad. I have been thinking about picking up a sage stock... maybe next year.

I was very surprised about the weight. Not bad at all for the rifle, chassis, scope, and a full five round magazine.
With no muzzle brake or flash suppressor. I will be able to put a piece of electrical tape over the muzzle to keep the rain and stand out of my M 14 I put unaltered loaded Polytech on this scale with no scope there was only about three quarters of a pound difference between the two the Shorty was only about three quarters of a pound heavier with the scope on !

sounds like you have a nice hunting rifle on your hands :)

Nice Job Thomas. Hey carvek, good taste in rifles. With the .308 you should be able to shoot through half a dozen of those overly large deer that live on your Islands.
