Marauder mag issue

There was a burr on the mag feedramp which I removed with a dremel stone bit (by hand) this is what it looks like now, but it still wont chamber a round. I tried Winchester 555's and CCI Velocitor (pictured) and everytime this happans. What does the mag feedramp supposed to look like? can anyone post pics?

Heres some pics of what mine looks like... This is the best i could do w/ my camera. some w/ darth vader too! I dont have too many issues with my mag, it does jam once in awhile though

looks like you removed too much material... i think that burr and flat 45 degree angle on the feed ramp is suppose to be there. you might need to replace the feed lip now, have been in contact w/ dave at hical... or where ever you got your kit from? they may have more experience w/ this issue.

before I removed the burr I couldn't even unload the mag, it was in the way.

ps: factory 10 round mag cycles fine

We have replacement & extra mags & feed lips on the way. They have a gen 2 mag already to address the problems some of the first mags had. We will post when they arrive, prob end of Oct.

^looking at the pic what do you think is wrong with the mag? can anyone else post a close up pic of their working mag?

Someone can post a close up picture of the open chamber when the mag is fit in???? (Marauder Mag and the original one).

I can see a difference in the attack angle of a original Mag and the marauder one... I think the problem come from this angle.

looks like is isnt on enough of an angle to enter the chamber. MAYBE you did take to much material off. These mags arent going to be for sale until the end of Oct. hical??

Damnit, have my kit on the way and need lots more mags just incase this exact same thing happens

I dunno...only reason I monkeyed with it in the first place was because it wasn't working and I couldn't even unload the mag!

Same here. Hical's got me covered though on warranty.

Mine came looking like someone had tried to "fix it" but failed.

And then the eye candy portion.

Does everyone who purchased the original mag (with the kit) get the new Gen 2 feed-lips?

Mine doesn't like Blazer ammo, "unplated" anything really. They hang-up in the feedpath just before the lips. Haven't email/PM'd Dave about it yet either though.

Chewed up a couple rounds too, before I stopped using them in the mag. And mine has the little bump on the feed ramp also, which I barely smoothed with 200grit wet-paper.

It loves most Winchester copperplated, especially SuperX 1300fps RNHP's.

heres a small thought, they should have just made a sleave to go over a factory mag that works and looks like a full size ar mag

Hmmm, or just have done the work right the first time. That would have been best.
