Gauging Interest in a 3 Gun Polar Match at EESA, sometime after Jan 1st. Will try (working towards a common rule set) to run it with a rule set similar to the recent Guelph ODPL 3 Gun. Would likely be a one day format, max 10 person squads, and 5 or 6 stages.

I promise not to have a 200 yard run down, LOL!

Likely be a $40 match fee, lunch included, and for the people that have a pleasant attitude, hot chocolate would be available at all stages!

I am thinking, lots of steel shotgun and pistol targets (easy to reset) and some close up CQB stages involving the carbine/battle rifle with paper and steel pistol targets!
 
Can we make this the first in a series of 3 Gun events planned for the year.......with a season ender/ championship in mind? Say 2 Events at EESA (the Polar Match, and a Zombie Apocalypse Match) and 2 Events at Guelph; also 2 events at a club that would want to come on board with a common rule set? Any other clubs that want to join in on the fun?

I suspect we will have a polar bear match regardless right? But perhaps between now and then each club can give some thought to a rule set (come up with a draft form).

I know we'll have some spare time at FNH to work on some details....You'll be at hunt camp but I'm sure we can get your input beforehand.
 
I like where this is going, an Ontario 3 gun Series hosted by different clubs. Team hoser is in and ready to help out with the EESA boys for sure.
 
I was kinda leaning towards no, then realized, if I can get up at 5:30 am from sleeping in a tent in middle of no where at zero degrees temp to go hunt moose, then DA! I can dress warm to do some 3 gunnin....
 
definitely be in for this one...give me the winter to re-build the bank account, re-do the shotgun and break in the new rifle...and maybe try to re-build the bank account for a second time
