For reliability they are tops, right up there with the best.
A buddy has one he uses for both waterfowl and skeet, and has not cleaned it for two years!!
He is trying to figure out when it will jam.
I told him flat out " When they are winglocked and landing gear down, when when else??:D"
I think he will clean it before the season this year!!
The one I had for a bit was a fine gun for a semi......

I have the 3" 28"barrel stalker DT.It cycles flawlessly with 1 oz skeet loads .and is soft shooting even with 3" steel loads.a buddy of mine put 25 rounds of home loads through it that his winchester 1400 wouldn't cycle .without any problems.

love my maxus

recent bday present :D
Very smooth, swings nicely, cycles fine. Great mechanism for teardown.
I think I will have this gun for a long time.

Just bought a brand new synthetic and shot 270 clays on the weekend. My buddy who owns 11 shotguns went out the next day to purchase one of his own. Awesome gun and the recoil is amazingly light. Shot with a thin t-shirt on and shoulder is fine. Need I say more.

Cheers

I just bought mine, love it so far! Paid $1000.00 for it; it is a used gun, but in "like new" condition. It's my first shotgun, so nothing to compare it against... but I did get to try a Benelli Vinci right after shooting my Maxus and maybe it's just me, but my Maxus felt softer shooting than the Vinci.

I'm happy with my Maxus so far, I only use 3 1/2" heavy steel loads in mine and it hasn't let me down, mines the Camo one and I think I paid $1200 for it, the 3" ones are less I think.

Bought a browning gold 3 1/2 when they 1st came out and put 1000's of shells through it with no problems so I bought a camo maxus 3 1/2 and this one I like even better so far. Great gun.Kept the browning as a back up.

brother inlaw bought one last year. it's like and has little kick. his chambered in 3''. crazy frenchman bought him self a cynergy 2pipe chambered in 3 1/2 all camod out. kicks like a mule. i like the maxus. i'm thinking of buying either a maxus or a vinci. but ill see whats new next year.

This is how the spring in maxus looks only after 100 rounds, i have no clue how your body managed to shoot his for 2 years without cleaning it  Its a fine gun but a real pain in the ass to clean.

I have no problem cleaning mine a can of brake clean works wonders followed by some compressed air.if I am at camp I use a can of dust free used for blowing dust out of a computer key board.

Nor do I Rembolt, I also don't shoot factory ammo which I find very dirty pending what you use.;) Doesn't matter to me what make of shotgun I shoot I clean it after every outing. Just the way I am. I have used clays for years and switching to E3 soon which they say is even cleaner.

Pain in the arse??? Really?? I've owned many different Browning and Beretta semis, and my Maxus is definately the easiest to clean. Spray the mag tube and piston down, then wipe 'em clean. Run a bore snake through the barrel. Done! Doesn't get any easier. At the end of each season, do a total strip down and cleaning, and it's ready to go for the following year.
