Haven't seen it on any official source yet... but Madness (in Greece now) has let me know that Florida was selected for World Shoot XVII in 2014.

I got a feeling that Canada will not be returning any slots for that match and will probably be begging for more.

I suspect you're right.

That would be fantastic news.

Of course, enquiring minds want to know....

Can we cover a gator in Hello Kitty stickers???

Philty,
if this is the truth I will practice more and more. I will go to at least one world shoot.

How many slots do we have and how are they distributed among IPSC Canada members?

Thanks

Not sure how many slots we we given for Greece... but I think the max number is 60 for any country with 2000+ members... (I could be wrong)

But slots are given out in Canada based on your best 2 of the last 3 Canadian Nationals prior to the World Shoot.

Thanks,
so that equals to 15 shooters per division more or less. I need crank my game up little bit :)

If this is confirmed...than this is great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeh, he is Big Awesome and he will get it if he spreads but info.
See you on Oct23rd in Wayne.

It'll be beyond political to who and how many US shooters get to go if it's in the states

It will definately be interesting to see what happens south of the border in the lead up to this match. I remain hopeful the end result will be positive, but it will not likely be a smooth ride getting there.

So China is ratified as an IPSC region. Can you imagine what it would be like trying to attend a match there?

Lessee, how many plastic Airsoft pellets would you be able to transport on an aircraft......

Rob,
it may be even easier to go and shoot in China then other place, who knows with commie kooks. My beef is with allowing China into IPSC period. Simple Chang or Fang can not own pistols in China, IPSC will be limited to state run organizations.

Yes, that is exactly my point. But believe me; it won't be easier. Traversing through Hong Kong for the `97 World Shoot was a nightmare, and if you want some REAL horror stories ask some of the Americans who went. I heard some of the guys on my squad talking about how many of them ended up knelt down on the airport tarmack with machine guns pointed at their heads while being ordered to open the gun cases for inspection. And we had to have Hong Kong generated permits to traverse their real estate in the first place, so they knew full well what they were doing.

Unless things have changed radically over there I don't imagine many regular Chinese citizens will be partaking of the pleasures of competitive shooting.
