Mares leg .22

ohhh yeah. This guy wants one. Theyre short which is cool/backpackable but they seem kinda crazy short, whats it like shooting one of these?
 
I am expecting it on october 5 th ( according to Canada Post web site) and believe me ALL those days will be damn long ! Just cant wait to have it in my hands !
 
I picked up my first mares leg at the end of july in a 22 and the 45 about a week later. I enjoy the 22 so much I bought a second one. Open sights 3" at 50 yards from a rest. I put a 2-6x28 on it and got down to 2". They're fun and easy to transport. On both 22s I had to remove the rear sight elevator completely to get it on target properly.
 
Received it today ! Really nice !! :D But the only thing, F***ing Canada Post broke the saddle ring attachment off the receiver :mad: Went to my gunsmith who drilled the whole, made new tread ( the tread was shot) and installed a small set screw in the whole. No longer have a saddle ring but at least no damage is visible.
 
Are those an unrestricted gun? Looking at Henry's specs on-line it gives the overall length at 25" and the barrel length is 12.875". My understanding was the overall length of the gun had to be at least 26", and the barrel had to be at least 18" long. I kind of hope they are... they look like a handy little rifle to tote around the woods.

Actually It is NO LONGER for sale. I was to sell it because the same day I received it, I also received a real '' Piss off'' lawyer bill which was much higher than expected and I needed fast cash to take care of that Life disagreement , but I found another way to take care of it, So I am very happy that I did not sell it.

I had a Talk with Canada post and their answer was that the insurance is only covering theft or losses. I argued without succes so it was easyer just to have my gunsmith fix it than waste my time argueing with a bonehead. Anyway from what I saw, the saddlering is just there for the look and not even solid enough to be used. as intended to.
