Some guns and cartridges go together like eggs and bacon (270 in m70, 300 wby in mkv etc). What goes with the 30-30? Should be something one can purchase today, excluding rare and expensive collectors pieces. What current lever gun goes best with the 30-30?

When I hear 30-30....Winchester comes to mind! (mod 94);)
 
Years ago when 30-30 was mentioned the 94 jumped into my mind. Now that I have owned the 94 and the Marlin 336, the Marlin is the one that jumps to my attention when you say 30-30.

I jumped ship on this as well.
No disrespect for the ole girl, but Marlin has captured my taste buds.
Still have a pre 64 Winchester in turdy-turdy, but the 336 has
definitely given me the bug. :bigHug:

And here I thought it was .30 WCF (Winchester Center Fire)

First rifle I bought, took my first deer with, still own and is near and dear to my heart is my 71 Win 94 in 30-30 of course
 
The 94 is back. Japanese but its back if like $1275 pricetag. I think 94 winny 336 marlin. But I do like the looks of the mossberg 464 grey lam and brushed stainless look is hot
