bingo. when i used to guide fall bear my boots would be stained blue until mid winter. find the berries, find the bears.

If it's red they found strawberries... I had yellow and black, wax and wires after they did my bees.. I couldn't believe that they ate the wax wires nails and all...

Okay, I was thinking more coyote scat. I see a lot of beer poop, but it is rarely in such tubular form when their diet is moist fruit/berries ,,, usually just a puddle & it didn't look like any of the bear scat HERE. I've read where coyotes & fox will fatten up on blueberries in September/October & that their poop will look purple. This poop was all up & down the logging roads & all in tubular form. There is a heavy coyote population present ..... many bears too!

Nice pictures of turds... I usually see some bits of tape worm in bear turds,.. but they shat enough to thin the worms out I guess?.

OR rose hips(I think that must have been what they were eating). Saw some that looked like it almost glowed last week.

Most of the bear scat that I have seen, and I have seen lots is nowhere near as formed as that. That being said, i can't think of what else would do that other than......................SASQUATCH. And I have seen one.

I always thought that crapping in the middle of logging roads/trails was more a canine 'rank pulling' thing .... & that black bears were not so predictable in their poop putting.
