Savage 99 22_250 twist rate

Anyone know the twist for a Savage 99 detach mag 22-250? looks like it's from the 60s or 70s.

Hopefully save me from measuring it

Interesting. Not supposed to be able to shoot 53gr TSX from a 1:14 twist, but I am getting around 1" at 100

I can hit the gong at 340, but no idea about group size. Not going to shoot a deer at 300 with 22-250 anyway!

I was just wondering if the bullets are stable at that distance still - but if you can hit a gong at 340 then it is just fine!

sounds like a damn stunt...bullet will likely bounce right off or pencil right through, obviously it will be going too fast to expand...
