I have a Glock 17 and I'm looking for a 22LR semi-automtic handgun because the cost of ammunition is so inexpensive. A 22LR would allow me plenty of trigger time without breaking the bank. I've narrowed my search down to either the GSG 1911 Tactical or the Sig P226 22LR.
Presently I'm leaning towards the Sig because it offers the flexability of changing calibers with their various caliber conversion kits. However the GSG comes highly recommended and for less money. Both are full sized handguns and are not fussy about which ammo you feed it.
I already buy Federal Champion 510 22LR by the case (10 bricks / 5,000 rounds) for my CZ 452 Varmint and I would be interested to know if anyone has tried this ammunition in either of these handguns.
What are your thoughts on these handguns and thanks in advance.
