think i found my next rifle....

not sure how i missed that thread.

i guess this thing makes the 50 cal boys feel like theyre shooting .22's lol

this is clearly a rich mans toy, at 40 bucks a bullet or whatever theyre called for this thing, id imagine the gun would be in the 15k range or better.

I don't really get the point. Lots of energy, but poor ballistics. I just don't see the appeal. I'm all for boomers, but isn't the point of having something bigger and badder to be able to hit something further away, and with more energy?

i think if you want to derail a train from 3 miles away youd buy this big pig. although id imagine the amount of recoil this thing produces would be enough to cause some serious pain no matter how good its setup with the brake etc. its more of a rich mans novelty than anything else.

logan i tried to find your post about this thing but came up dry looking through your history, do you have a link to it handy?

Still, pretty cool though. I would love to buy some of the ammo just to have in the collection. Is the ammo available in Canada?

its probably illegal in canada. id say take a coke can, paint it gold, and shove a snow cone cone on it and paint it gold and thats about the same size, lol.

logan if you click your name itll open a drop down menu and give you options to view your posts etc.

So I did a little research on the .950 JDJ ammo. Unfortunately it isn't made any more. A few stores carry it, but it's around $60 U.S. inert. It's made from old 20mm vulcan rounds.

guess there wasnt much demand for it. although im sure some down south redneck would go hunt squirrel and bear with these things, because thats what they do in the south :D
