I am heading up to Blackfoot Grazing reserve in a couple of weeks to hunt for a cow elk. Are there any recommendations for a place to take wild game for butchering in the east part of Edmonton or near Sherwood Park?
Thanks

You can also try closer to home also.Try Acme meats in Acme. He does good sausage also and runs a clean place.
I got a nice bull in the Blackfoot few years ago. After the first day keep closer to the border with Elk Island park as they cross the fence to feed and then go back for saftey.

Butcher Bus................his name is Charles

is just off hwy 14 ... if your headed east... its your first RR turn left past the hwy 21 overpass..... then immediate right .... like.... first drive. It looks shady... and iffy... but goddam is it awesome. Ive been using them for years.. Have yet to find a hair in my meat.......He makes the best Garlic Sausage Ive ever had. Those Hawiian Smokies are to die for and the kids love them. And...he has 24 hour drop off... just call ahead He is taking $100 deposits on deer though this year... as alot of people over the years have stuck him with deer. I have a moose in with him right now

I can get there from the Central Staging area of the Blackfoot wmu936 in 15 mins tops... PS... good luck on your hunt,,,,, i used to hunt wmu936 exclusively... its a great place... and watch out for the cougars

i wont go anywhere now but victoria fancy meats in edmonton, fast turn around and super quality

Victoria's must be pretty good! Being right in your town I'm surprised that you wouldn't go to Sandyview Farms. That's were I take my trim to get sausage made. The wild garlic sausage and the honey, garlic pepperoni is fantastic! Maybe I ought to look into trying Victoria's. :)

Thanks for all the great tips. I will be looking into these over the weekend while up there for the "discharge permit" briefing.
